Following their team-up on the upcoming sci-fi epic “Ender’s Game” and sports dramedy “Draft Day,” Lionsgate and OddLotEntertainment
are planning a multi-picture, co-financing and distribution deal.
The Johnny Depp action-comedy “Mortdecai” will mark the first project under this deal. Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany and Olivia Munn star in the film which shoots this Fall.
The deal gives the two companies a framework to partner on additional films, and gives OddLot a distribution home for certain movies.
OddLot is also behind Jon Stewart’s directorial debut “Rosewater,” this deal means the film could very well be distributed by Lionsgate.
