See a 72-Hour Trailer for a 30-Day Film. Seriously.

The headline you just read is real.

The trailer you’re about to see is real.

All of this is real.

Believe it.

Ok, here are the details. A Swedish filmmaker named Anders Weberg has just released the first trailer for his upcoming film, Ambiancé.

Ambiancé is a brisk 720 hours long, which means if you were to watch the entire thing without stopping, it would take thirty days to do so. Also, a human being cannot watch the entire film without stopping, because humans need sleep to live and staying awake for an entire month straight would almost certainly fry every brain cell in a normal functioning person.

Don’t worry though, because you have plenty of time to prep your brain cells. Ambiancé doesn’t premiere until 2020. Before then, Weberg will be providing a new trailer every two years. 2014 gets a 72 minute tease. 2016 gets a 7 hour, twenty minute one. 2018 gets a 72 hour one.

Oh, and in 2020, the film will play one time, simultaneously, on all seven continents. Once it’s over, Weberg will burn every copy of the film.

I don’t know if Weberg is intentionally trying to parody a kooky art filmmaker, but he’s doing a bang-up job at it.

Watch the trailer below. We’ll see you when it’s done. Three days from now.
