Set Photos, Spoilers and Spin-Offs: Everything You Could Possibly Need to Know About Star Wars: Episode VII

Everyone here at Mindbender Entertainment would like to offer our official condolences to J.J. Abrams and his Mystery Box. You know, that mystical object where he hides all of his secret film knowledge, forever?

Well, images like this have a way of exploding the fabled Mystery Box into tiny little box-scraps.

See those blurry, vaguely Star Wars-looking figures?

Those would be (most likely), Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII.

Look at them. In all their Star Wars glory. Driver, clearly, is some kind of fighter pilot, and Christie looks vaguely mentor-ish. Which would lend a whole lot of credence to recent rumors that these two would be villains of some kind.

There were also a bunch of other photos snapped- take a look!

Looks like Star Wars to me.

These photos came from from the Facebook page of Rick Lawrence, who’s since taken them down- but other sites (like ComicBookMovie) still have the photos up.

But this isn’t the only Episode VII news of the day. Because Making Star Wars has a giant crop of new rumors that, if true, would blow Episode VII wide open.

Spoilers, obviously, will follow. But then, the world “Spoilers” is in the title of this piece, so if you’ve gotten this far you know what you’re getting into.

Here goes:

This new leaker claims that all the Episode VII villains (including Driver and Christie) are all a part of the same aristocratic space-family, who trace their lineage way back to Count Dooku from the prequels. The spoilers continue: a good chunk of the film will take place on the Sith homeworld of Moraband, Daisy Ridley’s main character will be named Kira (or Kera, or Sera. Or Fawn).

Also, Disney might be throwing in a third Star Wars spin-off movie, this time to feature the exploits of a young Obi-Wan Kenobi. Which would be a nice way to atone for all the damage the prequels did to Obi-Wan’s good name.

I’ll leave you decide if all this juicy spoilerage is real, or the working of a desperate, anonymous attention-craver.

Either way, it’s always fun to speculate.
