The best of the worst from the replacement refs!

To me this whole replacement ref’s stuff made me look at the commissioner differently.  Mr. Goodell has suspended coaches and players for what he deemed illegal hits and making the sport unsafe (New Orleans saints). With doing that you would think he was worried about players safety. Wrong! He allowed Pop-Warner ref’s to officiate grown men. As the season started we seen the players conduct themselves like animals, we seen so man helmet to helmet hits that was not flagged than ever before.

Remember this Hit Below!

If you don’t all Oakland fans do. Had this man laid out with no flags, thankfully he is OK and didn’t really damage anything in his neck.

Even after the picture above he still didn’t want to come to an agreement. It took a play at the end of the game on Monday Night Football for this agreement to take place. So lets be honest is he about the safety of the game or about the league’s Image? I guess we will have to wait to see, but today we can look forward to having the “real ref’s” back. Lets look at what finally made both sides happy.

The NFL and its referees association have reached an agreement that will effectively end the reign of incompetence from the so-called “replacement referees.”
The league and the NFLRA have agreed on an eight-year deal that will put the original referees back in action in time for the Week 4 slate of games, including Thursday night’s game in Baltimore between the Ravens and the Cleveland Browns.
Everyone knew this deal would be done after Monday night’s game, especially since there was almost 150 million in bets that was directly affected by that game. It was time to get the real ref’s back. So what did the ref’s get.  They got the league to soften their stance on two major issue’s. The pension plan that the league was trying to blow up will now be gradually phased out in lieu of a 401(k) Plan.  Also, the number of new officials to be introduced  into the league was negotiated down to 7 instead of 21. So now after this 8 year deal, the pressure is on the real ref’s beginning with tonight! They must take back control of the game, I expect a couple of fines and some extra personal foul penalties this week.

So now that the nightmare that was the replacement ref’s is over. It’s time to take a look at the best of the worst calls or non-calls that these ref’s made. Here is Bleacher reports top 5!
