Many people think that eating less or skipping meals will give them a better shot at losing weight. The truth is, skipping meals will only contribute to gaining weight. Here’s a tip to help you live a healthier lifestyle.

3. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day.

Boosts your metabolism, helping you burn more calories.

You’re less likely to feel hungry or tempted to eat between meals.

Decreases the chance of you overeating.

-How to eat 5 to 6 small meals

First, try to eat within the hour you wake up, that will get your metabolism going. Then eat every three hours to keep your insulin down and metabolism up!

Also, make sure that every meal you eat is balanced with foods that include a high amount of protein, unsaturated fats, and good carbs (fiber).

Example: Eggs, Oatmeal, Granola Bars, Yogurt (low-fat), Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Whole grain Rice, Beans, Nuts, Fruits & Vegetables.

Lastly, try to eat at least 2 to 3 hours before you go to bed; those calories will not be used for anything and will be stored away in your body causing weight gain.
