All signs would indicate that Marvel will be making another super hero team movie. This one will be based on The Guardians who are the last of their alien race and crash land on Earth. They decide to defend the planet from an upcoming invasion.
The super hero bananza continues as Marvel has filed for 11 trademarks under Guardians Of The Galaxy ranging from “beverages, jewelry, furniture, cosmetics, video games, fabrics, food, internet services and retail store service along with paper goods”
The interesting thing about this particular group of heroes is that they have several story lines where they clash with The Avengers and several other groups of Marvel heroes. Each movie can only spend but so much time developing characters and the how and why for each one. This project will have to be handled very carefully because these heroes are not as popular as those that were featured in The Avengers. Obviously Marvel has a track record for success with all of it’s films except Ghostrider & Ghostrider: Spirit Of Vengeance– both did well at the box office but in reality are HORRIBLE MOVIES. But I digress…. The Guardians of The Galaxy will be the next super team film– so far no screenwriter or director is attached to the project.
