The Allure of a Major Label is not what it used to be!

Salute HAPS!!!
As an artist most of our goals is to be signed to a major label.
However these days it seems more and more artists prefer the independent route. For example
Brooklyn born rapper Jo-Vaughn Scott aka Joey Bada$$ has decided to snub the big homey Jay-z . It was said that Joey had inked a deal with Roc-Nation however that is not the case here is what he had said to the source about  the situation
They actually announced it on the radio that I signed with them — that was dumb as f*ck,” Joey said in an interview. “Won’t sign to no major, for no wager, less than a 3 million offer off the top, I be in a box when my coffin drops, why settle for an office spot? That type of thing, you know. Not really, major labels is just not where my head is at right now, you know? [Independent?] Yeah, that’s more of where my head is at, ’cause that’s what I’m tryna to do, I’m tryna go more independent.”
I respect that fact that he did not want to be in-slaved in to a contract however his choices could have been worse. Did he make a huge mistake by blasting them though ? and does his numbers currently reflect his demands? yall can be the judge
Here is some his music take a listen :

He is a million view Indy artist but is he really worth 3mill?
I personally don’t see why not I mean shit the industry gave Cheif Keef and Trinidad James a million and I think he is literally 3* better.
Well that’s it for now until next time I leave you with this. “Good things  come to those who go and get them!” -Ghost
Peace!!
