When Real Life Meets Fake Rap!!

When Real Life Meets Fake Rap!!

It’s been a minute but I’m back at it … so lets go! So for the past few weeks we have been seeing William Leonard Roberts II(a.k.a Rozay a.k.a The Boss)  name affiliated with a lot of controversy. While William is no stranger to the “Beef” he may have got himself a bit over his head with this new adversary. It seems as of late the entire 74 (G.D. ,Folk, Gangster Disciples) Nation is on his ass . Some may view this as a publicity stunt however in my opinion that is not the case. Rozay has crossed many lines in his career 1st using the name Rick Ross without paying homage to the man he is imitating. He then created the persona of “ The Biggest boss in the game” and has made quite a few outlandish claims of his hustling past  from “ I know Norieaga the real Noriega he owe me a 100 favors” Now I know that this statement was for entertainment purposes, however it is just an example of the rocky road Rozay started going down.On 9/29/09 The real  Rick Ross was released from prison and immediately pressed the artist about using his name without permission or making contact  and showing the respect that is due to the person he is representing. Once again lets not forget William is a former correctional officer turned rapper while he may have padded his wrapsheet with a few crimes here or there after the start of his musical career as far as the streets go William was not known to be “bout that life”. In the summer of 2010 he then released “B.M.F” which has been his biggest hit to date. When I first heard the record I enjoyed it for its entertainment value, however my other side said he has NO BUSINESS mentioning these names . The song had a great run and has boosted the awareness of who
Demetrius “Big Meech” Felnory  and
Larry “King” Hoover  are. I can understand shouting them out and showing them love as great leaders and founders of great movements. However when you present yourself as a likeness of these street Icons when your history is practically a polar opposite of what these men represent and stood for you are bound to ruffle some feathers.
When Meech was questioned about the song he was OK with it and when Larry Hoover Jr. was questioned he was not bothered by the song at all however there were stipulations made as reparations for the song . as described by this statement from the O.G 6 Trae Gangsta
There have been other announcements being made by different faction of the GD Nation’s through t the Country mainly the south Such as AL – , GA – FL –
As you’ve seen they are not happy with Rozay and I know a lot of you will say this is straight ignorance and savagery and in some ways I am inclined to agree. Although if you really break it down they have a valid argument this man has made a fortune by mentioning the “Chairman”’s name when in all actuality he has no real affiliations to the nation but was given a pass due to his popularity. So while they gave him a pass for using Larry Hoover’s name , He jumped out the window with this
He placed his face on the star of David which is a well known GD symbol as well as a Crip symbol which they adopted from the GD’s as well. The image was done to make it appear as you see a G on top of a 6 point star but the “G” us see is not what he claims to be. The Insignia used by the GD Nation is the star of David the numbers 6 = the star they rep, 7= G for Ganster, 4 = D for Disciple and the pitchfork as seen in this image
The GD’s have been very present in the Industry for quite some time without ever having or needing their image exploited or there leader’s named referenced I.e take Tennessee rap group 36 Mafia many members were said to be active GD members as well as Scarface, Slim Thug, and Mike Jones, yet most of them have been able to be successful without exploiting their organizations and their chairman, So i guess why give Rozay a pass for exploiting they’re organization and then not following through on his commitments that was said to have been made. Now This is not the first time a rappers Gangster’s Image has gotten them in trouble , Let’s take Dwayne Michael Carter( Lil Wayne)  has been pressed quite a few times for his so called Blood affiliations but i Just have an inkling that this situation May go further then what Rozay is prepared for I hope not,
this problem gets resolved soon because that last thing hip-hop needs is a another scar or a dead artist but that’s what can happen “ When Real Life Meets Fake Rap!” and for those who feel that these gangs don’t hold that kind of weight in the streets here is what Snoop had to say about that …. That’s it for now till next time I’ll leave you with this,
“ You’ll lose a lot of money chasing people but will never lose people chasing money”..
Peace
