Zack Snyder Catches Batmobile Thief, Chronicles His Arrest on Twitter

You may have heard that the Batmobile was recently stolen off the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. You may also have heard the follow up story: that the Batmobile theft was a bunch of made-up nonsense.

We’re not here to point fingers- who was right and who was wrong and who would actually have the cojones to steal the Batmobile in the first place (why anyone would risk a vicious Batarang-ing is beyond me).

We’re here to show you the silly photo that resulted from this whole Batmobile-theft-gate debacle.

Case ClosedZack Snyder tweeted this image just after the Batmobile scandal cleared up, along with the caption: “Case Closed.”

It’s the latest in a weird Tweet-friendship that’s grown between Snyder and Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams. It all started when Snyder tweeted a picture of Superman wielding a lightsaber (a Sith one, though- shouldn’t Superman be a good guy?).

JediAbrams saw it, and the two fell madly in love. Or something to that effect, because they’ve been tweeting mashups at each other on a regular basis:

3PO Batman R2D2It’s a good thing neither Star Wars nor Batman vs Superman are releasing anytime soon- that gives us plenty of time for Snyder and Abrams to keep the mashup spirit alive.

Which will eventually be chronicled in its own film: Batman vs Superman vs All the Characters in Star Wars: Episode VII: Dawn of Justice.

But before BvSvAtCiSW:E7:DoJ releases to theaters to mass critical acclaim, box-office records and a small mountain of Oscars, we’ll probably get a few more mashup tweets from Abrams and Snyder. Keep an eye out.
