So for a while now we have seen Rap slowly but surely turn into the old WWF that most of grew up on, with all these fake gangsters and thugs who want emulate that street life mentality .
Now some of these Artist do have a real background and street ties however more often then not a lot of these dudes are just not who they say they are. For example (Rick Ross) Rozay (the former correctional officer, college dropout who stole the name of prominent drug figure but claims he never heard of him)had a well publicized confrontation with the BMF affiliate Young Jeezy recently at the recording of the Bet awards. Their “Beef” has been building for quite some time and was fueled by the release of “Blowing Money Fast” which was said to be somewhat of a tribute to the REAL G’s who have done what these artist talk about.
While Rozay felt he was bigging up the real bosses of the game, some felt he of all people had no place to make that kind of song. In my eyes while it was a hit song he went about it all wrong, if i’m not mistaking at the time of the release of that record, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was and still is in the middle of an appeal for his alleged convictions. Now my mentality is that a song like that painted Meech exactly how the government wanted the Jury to view him which does him absolutely no good if he’s trying to beat a case and could be looked at as borderline dry snitching. Now Jeezy being a BMF affiliate felt some sort of way about someone other than people who were actually around talking about Meech and the Family. So when he released the song “Death Before Dishonor” he may have taken a quick jab a Ross with “How you blowing money fast, you don’t know the crew.” Are you part of the fam, sh*t I never knew.” and may have made a few more references about Rozay’s authenticity in the streets.
In the immediate wake of that song members of Rozay’s MMG had this to say:

Now the 2 have seemed to be ok since the release of those songs, and have both openly said that they have no issue with each other. They have even steered away from calling their jabs at each other an actual beef. However whatever was boiling under the surface between the 2 DefJam SuperStars came to a head backstage at the BET Awards and made its way to the parking lot. While there was just some pushing and shoving backstage allegedly there was some shots fired in the parking lot stemming from a CTE and MMG altercation. Although this altercation has generated the most press it was not the only one that involved MMG. Gunplay the ( Caddillac Tah ) of MMG reportedly squared off with 50 and some of his body guards Gunplay had this to say regarding the incident: “He walks up to me with about eight donkeys, he nodded to one of the donkeys, and one of the donkeys set it off, and we rumbled,” Gunplay continued. “I stood up in the paint, like a real G supposed to, with five bodyguards that’s trained to kill a human.” He compared some of the men to “refrigerators,” explaining that during the fight he lost his footing, got back up and “caught one of the refrigeration like a lion on a wildebeest,”
While I was not there in person I have a hard time believing that Gun stood tall in the paint with 5 Bodyguards we have all seen the footage of what happened when 2 regular dudes gave homey the business and if you haven’t seen that footage Who knows what will come of these altercations and “beef” while it is entertaining some what , we do not need to see another tragedy from entetainement spewing in to the streets.
