WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Authorities are investigating allegations that Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown assaulted a man in a West Hollywood parking lot.The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to a report Sunday night of six men fighting. Reports came in that the other entourage involved in the parking lot fight is grammy nominated singer Frank Ocean.
Witnesses told deputies that the brief fight was over a parking space.
The department says the “altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim.”
The “victim” wasn’t identified but the celebrity website TMZ.com which first reported the incident outside a recording studio- says the fight also involved Frank Ocean, a nominee in the upcoming Grammy Awards. Frank Ocean later tweeted that he “got jumped by (Brown) and a couple guys” and suffered a finger cut.
The police department says they are looking to question Chris Brown later.
Brown’s vicious attack on singer Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammy awards overshadowed the show and cause many to see him in a different light. He was reportedly struck in the face with a bottle and injured in a June 2012 brawl with members of hip-hop star Drake’s entourage at a New York nightclub which left many people injured including San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker.
At this point it is pretty clear that Chris Brown has some serious anger management issues. I mean you can claim that someone else is the culprit once or maybe even twice– but this is now the 3rd time that this man has been involved with some sort of violent fight.
Frank Ocean, who came out last year in an open letter to the public about his homosexuality has never had any high profile fights or things of this nature so this incident comes a somewhat of a surprise.
Unfortunately, as this is another go round of violence for Chris Brown– I think these are signs that something else catastrophic is looming in his future. Only time will tell…
Chris Brown has now officially become the “bad boy” of R&B.
