Imagine being woken up at 2:30 in the morning to loud pounding on your front door, then you hear a bunch of footsteps and movement outside your house. Any man in this situation is either going to call the cops and stay upstairs or grab a weapon and answer the door. Well option 2 is defiantly out of the question now.
Last night Deputies in Lake County FL shot and killed a man in his doorway. Another victim to police being overly aggressive right? Wrong. The police was looking for an armed and dangerous murder suspect which led them to the victim’s house. Sounds like good police work so far until we find out that they had the wrong door. Not only did they have the wrong door but they never announced themselves as police officers and shot the victim once he opened his door. This is one of the many reasons people have issues with the police.
I can’t wait to see how this plays out. I can almost guarantee the family will win a civil suit and the officers involved will be suspended until everything dies down. A family lost a son over some faulty police work and just like everything else it will be swept under the carpet. Looking forward to the day that everyone no matter what your position and status is are held accountable for their actions. That day is looking further and further away.
