T.I’s 10 year deal with Atlantic Records expired last month and the rapper has decided to be proactive. He’s put the big whigs in the music community on notice that he is open to signing another deal for $75 Million that includes the entire Grand Hustle roster.
The Atlanta rapper has even outlined some of the finer points and parameters of the agreement that he wants.
Parameters of the offer are as follows:
– 3 albums
– 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights
– Corporate endorsement deals
– Exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists
There has been speculation that several labels and key figures are already interested.
Dr. Dre (Aftermath), Jay-Z (Roc Nation) and Universal are said to be interested. Sony has reportedly already put a $50 million offer on the table to attract The King Of The South. It will be interesting to see what price T.I is able to get especially in a market where sales are down tremendously.
