The Dark Knight Rises will close the door on the Christopher Nolan vision of the DC Comics character. Nolan has been vocal stating that he saw the story as a trilogy from the beginning and that he is ready to move on to another project. Nolan took his career into the stratosphere with his incarnation of the Batman series with the first film: Batman Begins.  And he furthered his reputation and standing as a film auteur with the sequel The Dark Knight which is regarded by millions upon millions of movie fans as the best superhero film of all time.

I have been looking forward to this movie for quite some time now and given how exceptional The Dark Knight was it may be very tough for Nolan to out do well…Nolan. Joss Whedon did put some pressure on The Dark Knight Rises with his The Avengers  movie which people expected to be good but not GREAT like it is. The Avengers did whopping numbers at the box office of about 1.6 Billion world wide.
