THE GOVERNMENTS ASSASSINATION OF A KING

People we’ve been had, led astray, bamboozled, and every other adjective you can think of that describes being mislead and straight out lied to. For all of my life I have been taught that the assassination of DR. Martin Luther King Jr. was the heinous act of one man named James Earl Ray. Although most people knew better, that was the government’s story and they were sticking to it. However, 13 years ago we find out that the King family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Lloyd Jowers and “other unknown co-conspirators” in the murder of Dr. King.

wow!!!Loyd

Loyd Jowers was the owner of Jims Grill, a restaurant near the Lorrain Hotel where Dr. King was shot. According to Jowers, the assassination was a conspiracy involving the mafia and the U.S. Government. Jowers also said that James Earl Ray was a scapegoat and the real shooter was a Memphis police officer, Lieutenant Earl Clark. On December 8th 1999 a Memphis jury found Jowers was responsible for the assassination, along with other government agencies. Keep in mind this was a civil trial so criminal charges could not be filed.  The amazing part about this story was is that the trial itself was kept under wraps, and with all the media frenzy surrounding other high profile cases, IE the OJ Simpson trial in 1995, one would’ve thought that surely a trial and verdict of this magnitude would have been on every news station.  Unfortunately, that was not the case. In fact, only a few reporters covered the trial at all. Author Jim Douglas had this to say about the media participation or should I say lack thereof.

“This historic trial was so ignored by the media that, apart from the courtroom participants, I was the only person who attended it from beginning to end. What I experienced in that courtroom ranged from inspiration at the courage of the Kings, their lawyer-investigator William F. Pepper, and the witnesses, to amazement at the government’s carefully interwoven plot to kill Dr. King. The seriousness with which US intelligence agencies planned the murder of Martin Luther King, Jr. speaks eloquently of the threat King and nonviolence represented to the powers that be in the spring of 1968.

There is alot more to this story, so I invite you to do more research on your own, through Google and Wikipedia you might be surprised at how much you will learn.  I thought we had a government for the people, by the people, and of the people, but it seems that our government also exists to murder and hoodwink the people!
