Baseball is finally over and I kinda feel sorry for the sport, that once was called “America’s game”. The ratings for the World series was the worst. Nobody cared except the people in Detroit and San Francisco. So what’s wrong with Baseball?
Well first off the season is way too damn long! 166 games a year, a sport that really runs from February til September is way too long. I am a Yankee fan but I could care less about the regular season, up until the final week. Maybe i will watch a little bit of the All-Star game but everything i need to know i can read on ESPN.com. I don’t care about watching the games at all. This year we had the first triple crown winner in since Carl Yastrzemsk in 1967. Chasing the Triple crown should be huge news, rating should go up for every Detroit Game, but they didn’t. Instead people tuned into sports center to see how he was doing or watch his at bat’s from there. 
The league needs to do something to get there fans back. Mark Mcguire, Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds brought baseball back to the mainstream in the late 90’s. All 3 have been accused of using steroids, I guess that’s the way the League says thanks. So I say shorten the season, no one really cares when football season starts. Keep the testing but stop these witch hunts. Finally stop this bull shit black balling of Barry Bonds. the man deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Even before his head got huge and he broke the home run record, he was one of the best ever. The black eye baseball has got they have put there themselves! So move on because the fans don’t care at all. I’m so happy football and basketball season is here!
