Kobe Bryant addressed the media, regarding the health of Pau Gasol. He offered his strongest public support to date to back the Spaniard with whom he has won two NBA championships. “I love Pau like a brother,” Bryant told ESPNLosAngeles.com on Tuesday. “I really do. I want him to dominate like I know he can.”
Kobe went on further to say “I want him to dig in and be determined, not discouraged,” Bryant continued. “We should go to him more on the post because he can dominate from there as he has to the tune of two rings. I’m sure we will adjust and figure out a balance when he comes back healthy.”
Ok People Have we not seen how this plays out already this season. Kobe gave Mike Brown the same type of support. Remember when Kobe said This: I’ve been (Brown’s) biggest supporter. So, I’m really too old to be dealing with childish things.” The very next day Brown was gone.
Remember The Death Stare
That move made it clear what everyone in LA already knew. Kobe runs the Lakers! In his time there he has ran off Eddie Jones, Shaq, Phil Jackson and Mike Brown. There is probably way more than that but they are the most important. Lakers management seems to follow what he wants. If they got rid of shaq and Phil Jackson who got the 3 rings then Gasol is S.O.L!
You must remember Kobe was the Main guy who wanted him after not having a big man other than Kwame brown. They got blessed with one of the most lopsided trades every, basically trading Gasol for Brown. Now that there is a new big man in town, do you really think Kobe cares about how many rings Gasol helped him get. I will answer for you HELL NO!!!
Kobe knows he has the best big man in the game and he is just hitting his prime. The future of Lakers is on those huge shoulders and Kobe wants to cash in before his time is up. So while Gasol is resting his knees best believe that the GM is going thru trade details from different teams. It took 24 hours after Kobe endorsed Mike Brown , I wonder how long Gasol is going to last!
