First Look at the Dinosaurs of Jurassic World?

The best thing about big, blockbuster movies isn’t watching big, blockbuster movies.

It’s enjoying the slow, but steady stream of rumors, leaks, and tiny scraps of real info that mark the years before said blockbuster’s release.

Case in point: the picture below.

It does not take a genius to figure out that this picture is of a Velociraptor.

However, it might actually take a genius to figure out if this pic is legit. Because an anonymous poster just leaked this anonymous image to Instagram, claiming it to be one of the Velociraptors that’s currently being used in the filming of Jurassic World. Being an Instagram post, the image also came with a slew of hashtags that really aren’t necessary at all:

This is an actual Velociraptor for the upcoming film Jurassic World! #jurassicworld #dinosaur #universalstudios #StevenSpielberg #Velociraptor #HYPE

So on the one hand, that looks just about as realistic as one of the Jurassic Park series’ Velociraptors has ever looked. Meaning that if it’s a fake, it’s the greatest fake in the history of fakery. But it could also just be a prop that might show up at Comic-Con, or some re-colored leftover from Jurassic Parks 1-3.

I suppose we’ll find out eventually, once Jurassic World is stomping through our theaters, and munching on those theater employees that stand around near the entrance and rip the tickets.

Also, my one hope for Jurassic World is that none of the dinosaurs have speaking parts.

Shouldn’t he have a deeper voice?
