Well, it looks like all those Peeta vs Gale debates can finally be put behind us (even though the consensus seems pretty clear: Peeta = boo, Gale = swoon, while little hearts float above one’s head).
The latest trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay is here, and within it is a seemingly very important plot point: Katniss is our champion, the great hero of the resistance, but Peeta is now the spokesperson for enslavement, oppression and a massive government enterprise that will wear us down to a nub, and then recycle those nubs as a cheap and efficient source of fuel.
That roar you’re hearing are the anti-Peeta boo-ers growing in volume and number.
But there’s more to Mockingjay than the dead weight that is Peeta. In this newest of trailers, you’ll see Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones), and Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final on-screen role.
Also Woody Harrelson (Haymitch) wears a cool hat now. It’s a sequel- you’ve got to up the stakes somehow.
